Justin Jefferson Rips Vikings Offense After Win vs Jets: 'It Wasn't Good Enough'

The New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings kicked off the Week 5 slate of Sunday NFL games. It was a neutral site venue as both teams traveled across the pond to London, as the league looks to expand its global reach.

Justin Jefferson Rips Jets Offense

The Vikings narrowly escaped with a win after a last-minute interception by their cornerback Stephon Gilmore sealed the 17-23 victory over the Jets. Even after leaving London with a W, their star receiver Justin Jefferson was disappointed in his team's effort on the offensive side of the field.

"I feel like we didn't play well enough on the offensive side of the ball. You know we didn't have any energy," Jefferson said when asked if the game was exhausting."

"I mean we had energy in ourselves but we didn't make the plays to contribute the energy. So I mean it was definitely a tough win. We gotta give thanks to our defense today for giving us this dub but offensively it wasn't good enough."

The Vikings remain one of two undefeated teams in the NFL after improving to 5-0. And even though they have a bye week in Week 6, Jefferson is already excited to get back on the field.

"It feels great to be undefeated but there is definitely a lot to improve on and work on in this film room. It's definitely good to get this bye and get some time off but I'm ready to get back to it," he added.

Vikings Star Declares Himself Best in The World

Ahead of the matchup with New York, Jets head coach Robert Saleh told the media that he would look to throw four or five different defensive schemes at Jefferson because of his versatile skillset. Still, the Vikings star finished with 14 receptions for 92 yards.

Jefferson took note of the different looks that the Jets sent at him but said it is something that comes with being the best at his position.

"It's difficult to push through the contact. I still even with the contact I try to make the play. But you know it is what it is it's part of this game," Jefferson added.

"It comes with being the best receiver in the game."
