Justin Tucker resurfaces with Saints tryout after 10-game ban

Justin Tucker is getting another shot in the NFL. The longtime Ravens star, who has been out of the league since Baltimore released him after the 2024 season, landed a tryout with the New Orleans Saints on Monday.

Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported that the Saints brought in several kickers for a workout and Tucker, now thirty-six, was among the invitees. He became eligible to sign again on Nov. 11 after serving a 10 -game suspension, and New Orleans is the first team to show interest since his reinstatement.

Tucker's suspension came after allegations of sexual misconduct from multiple women who said he behaved inappropriately during massage sessions. Tucker has denied all allegations.

The off-field issues, combined with a dip in performance, have made teams cautious. Last season, he hit a career-worst 73.3 percent of his field goals, a sharp decline from his career mark of 89.1 percent.

Even with that down year, Tucker's résumé is still one of the strongest a kicker has ever produced. He is a seven-time Pro Bowler, a five-time First-team All-Pro selection and widely viewed as one of the most accurate specialists in league history.

The Saints appear motivated to explore alternatives at the position. Third-year kicker Blake Grupe has made just under 70 percent of his attempts this season and missed from 38 and 47 yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Falcons.

Tucker has not kicked in a game this year, but New Orleans is at least taking a look. Whether it turns into anything more remains to be seen.
