Kelly Stafford Felt ‘Huge Guilt’ For Bringing Sick Kids On Rams Team Plane Ahead Of Big Game

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly, spent the past weekend in the hospital, since their daughters have been dealing with an illness. However, that didn't stop them from making the trip to Glendale, Arizona for the Rams vs. Vikings game on Monday, as the family boarded the team plane together.

Now on the most recent episode of "The Morning After," Kelly says that she feels 'huge guilt' for bringing her sick children in close contact with the Rams players, who had a very important Wild Card matchup to play.

"We were sick on that flight," Stafford said. "And there was a huge guilt factor to me going 'should we be on this plane right now because everyone surrounding us and everyone who has to play this game?'"

Even during the game on Monday night, one of the Stafford children was throwing up, as Kelly documented it in a post on Instagram.

"In the middle of her pukes in the bathroom, 'Mommy, are we still winning?'"

Mrs. Stafford said she contemplated not bringing the whole family to the game because of sickness, but the Super Bowl winning quarterback insisted the family be together in the difficult times.

"Matthew was like 'No, we will do whatever it takes but we are all getting on this plane,'" Kelly said. "We're going to be together right now."

That is, in what was supposed to be a home game at SoFi Stadium, the NFL had to reschedule the location due to the devastating wildfires in LA.

In the midst of all the chaos, the Rams were able to hold on to beat the Vikings 27-9.

Now the Rams will have to travel to one of the most hostile environments in the NFL as they are getting ready to take on the Eagles in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, January 19 at 3:00 pm ET.
