Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Conor McDermott was recently the victim of theft, as he had his Rams-issued team iPad stolen from his vehicle.
According to TMZ, the 31-year-old's car was broken into while parked in a LA residential area. That is to say, this is an important item, as it contains the team's digital playbook. With this in mind, if it gets into the wrong hands, the team's intel is at risk of being leaked, which wouldn't make head coach Sean McVay too happy.
While LAPD has conducted an investigation, no arrests have been made. In view of the situation, some fans have jokingly speculated that maybe a division rival or another NFL team are the ones behind the jacking, so they can potentially learn of the Rams' secrets.
To point out, one has to wonder why they would want that anyways, considering the Rams are currently sitting at the bottom of the NFC West with a 1-4 record.
Even so, there is probably a way for the Rams to wipe out the information remotely with technology.
All in all, McDermott may not need a replacement right away as he is currently on the Injured Reserve list and has yet to play a snap on his new team.

Notably, McDermott was a sixth round draft pick out of UCLA, and has played in the NFL for seven seasons as a player for three previous AFC East teams: Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and New England Patriots.
