The Los Angeles tight end and Sophia announced Sept. 15 that they are expecting their first child, a baby girl, in early 2027.
Their Instagram announcement featured a pink Nike baby outfit, tiny pink Air Jordans, an ultrasound image and a sign reading, "Baby Ferguson coming 2027." The couple's two dogs joined the photo wearing pink bandanas with a message of their own: "It's a girl."
The post also included a passage from 1 Samuel about Hannah becoming pregnant and giving birth.
Kelly Stafford, wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, shared the announcement to her Instagram Story and welcomed the newest addition to the team's extended family.
"Another baby girl getting added to the Ramily," Stafford wrote.
The Rams' official account offered its congratulations, while Ferguson's former Oregon teammate Kenyon Sadiq responded, "let's gooo! Congratulations!" Former Rams running back Jarquez Hunter added, "Congrats bro."
Ferguson and Sophia married July 13, 2025. They have since shared moments from their travels and married life on social media, with the baby announcement marking another milestone for the couple.
The Rams selected Ferguson with the No. 46 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, bringing the former Oregon tight end to Los Angeles to begin his professional career.
Now, during his second NFL season, he and Sophia are getting ready for another first. The pink sneakers are already waiting.
