Jackson exited late in Baltimore's 37-20 loss at Arrowhead Stadium and was replaced by backup Cooper Rush. CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson said the quarterback suffered a hamstring injury and looked "extremely frustrated" on the sideline.
After he came out, he didn't appear to get much medical attention, which quickly lit up social media. Many fans questioned whether Jackson simply didn't want to finish a blowout.
Head coach John Harbaugh didn't offer much clarity afterward. He told NFL reporters there was no update yet on Jackson's status but added that the injury is not expected to be season-ending "by any stretch."
The Chiefs have consistently been Jackson's toughest matchup. With the loss, he's now 1-6 against Kansas City as a starter, including the postseason.
Whether Jackson's hamstring issue was minor or not, that doesn't necessarily mean he quit on his team. Baltimore trailed 30-13 when he left, and it's entirely plausible the Ravens decided there was no reason to risk their star quarterback in a game that had already gotten away.
Still, Jackson's health will be closely monitored in the coming weeks. The Ravens dropped to 1-3 with the loss and have home games against the Texans and Rams before their bye. If Jackson's hamstring lingers, it could complicate their push to climb back into contention.
For now, the injury appears mild, but the optics of his early exit will stick around — especially in a stadium where things have rarely gone his way.
