Mancera announced the birth of their son, Makhai, in a heartfelt social media post.

The baby was born June 11, according to Mancera, who shared photos of the newborn along with a simple message directed toward Kneeland.

"My favorite gift from you," she wrote.

Among the images were Makhai's footprints, a photo of the infant holding his mother's finger and a special onesie featuring an image of Kneeland in his Cowboys uniform.

Mancera also shared a video showing the moment she revealed her pregnancy to Kneeland, capturing his reaction as he learned he was going to become a father.

The birth comes seven months after Kneeland's death at age 24 in November 2025.

Shortly after his passing, Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer revealed that Mancera was expecting the couple's first child and pledged the organization's support.

"We want to make sure she's taken care of and the baby is taken care of for the rest of their lives," Schottenheimer said at the time.

The Cowboys later helped establish the Marshawn Kneeland Memorial Fund, which was created to support Mancera and the couple's child while preserving Kneeland's legacy.

Kneeland had recently completed his second NFL season and was coming off one of the most memorable performances of his young career before his death.

In the months since, teammates, coaches and fans have continued to honor his memory.

Now, that legacy carries on through Makhai.
