LaVar Ball lives for hot takes and making absolutely ridiculous claims like being able to beat Michael Jordan 1-on-1. His latest claim is that he was a better tight end than four-time Pro Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champ Rob Gronkowski. He was on The Really Big Show on ESPN Radio and said "Gronkowski can't hang with me back in my heyday."

Considering he played one year of college football for Long Beach City College and never made it past the summer for two NFL teams, I would be inclined to say he is wrong. He was loaned to the London Monarchs of the World League of American Football where he recorded 28 yards on kick returns.
Meanwhile, Rob Gronkowski has led the NFL —- a real league —- in receiving touchdowns and has been a first-team All-Pro four times. Maybe Ball should start putting his money where his mouth is. That way it might be stuffed enough to not be able to say anything else he can't back up too.
