NFL Hall Of Famer Lawrence Taylor Arrested In Florida Once Again

Former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor has been arrested in Florida, as a result of not following his conditions as a registered sex offender. According to TMZ, Broward County Jail said that Taylor turned himself in on Wednesday at 5 pm, after he had a felony warrant regarding the former NFL player not reporting a name or residence change.

After spending the night in jail, Taylor was released around 3am Thursday morning. To point out this same thing has happened before, as he forgot to report that he was living in a hotel back in 2021, and ultimately he plead not guilty and ended up cutting a deal with the prosecutors.

That is to say, according to Taylor's attorney, Mark Eiglarsh, most likely he will do the same this time around as well.

"My client, Lawrence Taylor, will be pleading 'Not Guilty' to the recent charges," Eiglarsh said. "As with the previous incident involving the same allegations, Mr. Taylor did not knowingly commit any criminal offense. This situation is a significant misunderstanding. We are confident that, once the prosecutors review the exculpatory evidence demonstrating Mr. Taylor's innocence, he will once again achieve a favorable outcome."

After having inappropriate relations with a 16-year-old in 2001, Taylor became a sex offender, so whenever he moves one of the requirements is to report his new residence.

Over the course of his 13-year career, LT became known as arguably the greatest defensive player in NFL history, being selected to 10 Pro Bowls and having been named an All-Pro six times; the former Giants player recorded 1,088 tackles, 132.5 sacks, 33 forced fumbles, 10 fumble recoveries, and nine interceptions during his career.
