The Detroit Lions are making believers out of everybody, and with a 7-1 record, it's hard to argue. Dan Campbell's team has been a wrecking ball through the NFC North, taking out the Vikings and Packers in recent weeks. They've positioned themselves not just as division leaders but possibly as the best team in the NFC, if not the NFL.

Now, Campbell isn't one to get ahead of himself, but even he couldn't hide his confidence this week. "I feel like we can beat anybody in the league," he said, via Lions Lowdown's Paula Pasche. And Campbell has the numbers to back it up. Detroit leads the NFL in points scored and sits tied for fifth in points allowed. That's dominance on both sides of the ball, plain and simple.
They've done it despite injuries, too, including losing standout edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson for the season. Yet Campbell and defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn have this unit playing at an elite level, making adjustments on the fly. Campbell hinted they're looking to make a move before the trade deadline to add another edge rusher—a big indication they're not content with just winning the NFC North.
"We've lost eight significant players on defense, and we continue to rise up," Campbell said. "We're not perfect, but we're getting off the field and keeping points down. That's what matters in this league."
The Lions' latest test was in tough conditions, battling wind and rain in their first outdoor game. No problem. With only two more outdoor games remaining this season, Campbell believes his team has the grit to perform anywhere, in any condition.
"We can play anywhere, any type of element," he said. "It's who we are. It's part of our culture, part of our identity."
That identity? Resilient, physical, and ready to take on anyone. Detroit isn't just aiming for a division title; they've got the look of a team that's just getting started on a much bigger mission.
