Bad LA NFL attendance leads to FOX Sports making desperation move for one of their shows

This is embarrassing.

FOX Sports is apparently in desperate need of fan support during this weekend's NFL Sunday pregame show outside the Los Angeles Coliseum.

Apparently, in true Hollywood fashion, the network issued a casting call seeking actors to portray Rams fans during Sunday's broadcast.

Here's what the official post included:

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on Sunday, December 10th in Los Angeles, California.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • We're looking for LA's biggest NFL fans to be a part of #NFLSunday's Los Angeles Rams vs. Philadelphia Eagles Pre Game Show!
    Calling all LA Rams fans!

To audition for a role in the upcoming NFL Sunday pre-game show, check out the casting call breakdown below.

Wow.

Where to start? Let's first acknowledge that the Rams are a very good football team sitting atop the NFC West division standings with a one-game lead over the Seattle Seahawks. Sunday's game will have huge playoff implications as Los Angeles hosts the Philadelphia Eagles, who at 10-2, sit atop the NFC East.

Yet the team has struggled so mightily in terms of fan support that FOX needed to hold a casting call for actors to show up in Rams paraphernalia.

That's just pathetic, man.
