ESPN analyst refutes report that NFL team has reached out to him about GM opening

This is getting really weird.

The Kansas City Chiefs had reportedly reached out to current ESPN NFL analyst Louis Riddick, but the latter took to Twitter to refute that report Sunday afternoon.

Riddick, who interviewed for the San Francisco 49ers job earlier this year, was very clear about the current situation between the Chiefs and him.

Riddick is clear that the Chiefs have not only not contacted him, but he also hasn't heard from anyone in the organization. And his source? Louis Riddick.

This is an awkward situation for everyone involved, and with more and more information coming out surrounding the John Dorsey firing in Kansas City, this is not a good look for the Chiefs who are in the midst of replacing their general manager.

Riddick could still ultimately be contacted or interview for the GM opening, but we know neither of those things have happened yet.
