Cowboys cut a player whose agent says he wasn't even in the state during alleged run-in with police

He's been with the Cowboys for two seasons.

Something strange is going on in Dallas.

According to TMZ, Cowboys wideout Lucky Whitehead was arrested in Virginia back in June for shoplifting under $200 from a convenience store. He failed to appear in court for his hearing on July 6, resulting in an arrest warrant being handed out.

This is where it gets strange:

This isn't the first time the Cowboys have had some problems with Whitehead. He was left home from a game last season after a since-deleted SnapChat. He also reportedly had his dog stolen and held for a ransom.

Whitehead spent the last two seasons with the Cowboys, returning kickoffs for more than 800 yards and rushing for 189 yards.
