Luke Kuechly's football career isn't slowing down after the Hall of Fame. It's just taking a new direction.

According to The Athletic, the former Carolina Panthers linebacker has been selected as Netflix's lead NFL game analyst for the 2026 season after impressing executives during a recent audition.
Kuechly is expected to make his debut alongside play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle on Sept. 10 when the Los Angeles Rams face the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia. NBC will produce the broadcast for Netflix, which is scheduled to air five NFL games this season, including a Christmas Day doubleheader.
The move comes just weeks before Kuechly is officially inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2026.
While former quarterbacks have largely dominated the top NFL broadcast booths in recent years, Netflix is taking a different approach with one of the league's most respected defensive players.
According to The Athletic, Kuechly impressed executives with both his football knowledge and his chemistry with Eagle during a tryout earlier this month.
The 35-year-old isn't entirely new to broadcasting. He has served as a Panthers radio analyst, hosted an NFL podcast with former teammate J.J. Jansen and appeared on ESPN's "Monday Night Football Playbook" alternate broadcasts.
Netflix has not publicly commented on the report.
