Disney CEO Bob Iger made an appearance during Monday night's edition of the "ManningCast" on ESPN 2, but he did not address the most important topic of the current football season.

In fact, he did not face any questions about the ongoing dispute between Google/YouTube TV and Disney/ESPN from Eli Manning and Peyton Manning, the two former NFL quarterbacks who host the show.
The Manning brothers instead, started the conversation with several comments about how Iger is their boss before diving into other topics.
The first topic with Bob Iger during the Peyton and Eli Eagles vs Packers Monday Night Football broadcast should be about the ESPN/YouTube TV deal. Love the ManningCast but this is pathetic! pic.twitter.com/vTm04HUQtA

"So what's the atmosphere like tonight at Lambeau (Field)?" Peyton asked as his opening question. The two-time Super Bowl champion then shifted gears to ask Iger about how he went from growing up in the Northeast to becoming a lifelong Packers fan.
Iger spent under 10 minutes speaking to Peyton and Eli during his appearance on the "ManningCast." He spoke about the Eagles running on third-and-14, he spoke about the weather at Lambeau Field, and he spoke about Eli throwing a deep pass to wide receiver Hakeem Nicks many years ago.
He covered the safe topics during this sitdown with his "employees."
"Disney CEO Bob Iger just appeared on the Manningcast, and Peyton and Eli didn't ask a single question about YouTube TV blacking out ESPN," one X user commented. "Not ideal."
As the boss of Disney, Iger should have been the perfect person to address the ongoing dispute with Google that has led to all ESPN platforms being blacked out on YouTube TV.
He could have made a simple statement about the dispute and what Disney hopes to accomplish, or he could have taken the political route and just said that he couldn't comment on ongoing negotiations.
Iger never had to make a decision about this situation. The most "difficult" question he faced from the Manning brothers was who would win an Olympic style competition between Peyton/Eli and Shaquille O'Neal/Kenny Smith.
"If Bob Iger speaks on (ESPN) #MondayNightFootball during the #manningcast, but 10,000,000 (YouTube TV)
users didn't get to see it, did he really appear?" another person asked on X.
"Also, who cares to hear what he has to say? I love the ManningCast, but this is the most irrelevant guest nobody watching cares to hear from."
