After the incident, reports circulated on why Ingram was so upset:
Whoa. Mark Ingram was one TD away from a $100,000 incentive in his contract. He got pulled on the goal line & went nuts on sideline.

While Payton reportedly wouldn't discuss the issue after the contest, here's what Ingram said after the game, per NOLA.com:
"I'm real competitive in everything I do," Ingram said of the sideline fit. "I got to be smarter, I got to control my emotions better, but we had a great win as a team and that's our No. 1 goal. And that's what I'm happy for, that we're bringing a win back to New Orleans."
