Okay, they weren't suede, but they were certainly blue, making the shoes a direct violation of the NFL's uniform policy.
The Detroit Lions quarterback's wife had some choice words for the league about the fine in an Instagram conversation with her husband:
Stafford said he will appeal the fine and already has his blue shoes in his game bag for Sunday's Lions-Cardinals matchup, Josh Katzenstein of the Detroit News reported via NBC Sports.
