Miami-Dade Police Department Releases Tyreek Hill Body Camera Footage Following Detainment Outside Of Stadium

Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill was stopped by police, while on his way to the Hard Rock Stadium ahead of the season opener vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.

Now the Miami-Dade Police Department has released the body camera footage that shows Hill's interaction with law enforcement following him being pulled over for a minor traffic violation of speeding and driving recklessly.

Upon approaching the driver side of Hill's vehicle, the police were heard telling the NFL player to roll down his window, in which he complained they were beating on his door too hard.

This is when one of the police officers forcefully opened the door and pulled him out of his supercar, while yelling, "Get out! Get out! Get out!" Then Hill was seen being handcuffed while face down on the street.

Hill, apparently on a phone call with Dolphins' Director of Security, Drew Brooks, while all of this was happening, repeatedly was heard saying, "I'm getting arrested Drew, I'm getting arrested."

While holding Hill to the ground, the one police officer said, "When we tell you to do something, you do it, you understand?... Not when you want, but when we tell you. You're a little f****** confused."

Also telling Hill to "stop crying," the officers then escorted Hill to take a seat on the sidewalk.

Hill responded by saying, "hold on," citing that he recently had knee surgery.

Then the same officer, who pulled Hill out of his vehicle, went back over trying to force him to the ground again.

The policeman said, "Oh really? What a coincidence... Did you have surgery on your ears when we told you to put the window down?"

As this was happening a teammate of Hill, tight end Jonnu Smith, witnessed what happened and pulled his vehicle over to the side of the road to try and help him.

To point out, this is when the officers backed him away, and yelled at Smith, while asking for his driver license for parking in the street.

At one point, one of the responding officers seemed to acknowledge who Hill was, "You know who that is, right?... One of the Dolphins' star players."

After 25 minutes of being detained, Brooks and Hill's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, appeared on the scene, as the wide receiver told the police officers "see y'all in court" before getting back in his car.

That is to say, the cops probably saw Hill later that day, as he put on a stellar on-the-field performance in a 20-17 win over the Jaguars.

In his first game going into his ninth season in the NFL, the eight-time Pro Bowler caught seven passes for 130 yards and a touchdown.

In particular, his 80-yard touchdown catch was capped off with a celebration that correlated with what happened earlier that morning.

During the post game interviews, Hill didn't elaborate too much on what transpired during the traffic stop. He seemingly took the high road, saying, "Let bygones be bygones."

Hill also thanked his teammates for their support while he was being detained. And correspondingly, other players spoke out against what happened to their NFL counterpart.

Afterwards, Hill gave his side of the story in an interview with NBC Nightly News on Monday.

"It just went from 0 to 60, man, from the moment that those guys pulled up behind me, knocked on my window, it went from 0 to 60 immediately."

He continued, "I was opening my door and I was going to get out, you know what I'm saying, but it felt like they was wanting me to move fast."

"If I wasn't Tyreek Hill, Lord knows, I probably would have been, like, worst-case scenario, I would have been shot or would have been locked up and put behind bars, you know, for a simple speeding ticket."
