"We are not done yet, and I hope that y'all don't think we are done yet," Parsons said. "It's going to be an amazing, amazing, amazing thing to see next year when we are holding the trophy. Yes, it's big goals, but I'm telling y'all right now it's holding the trophy.

The two-time All-Pro made the comments after a season of struggles for the Dallas Cowboys. The NFC East team started the year with a 3-2 record but fell to 3-7. This stretch included losses to the Texans, 49ers, Lions, Eagles, and Cowboys.
America's Team put together a better stretch to close out the season and added four wins. However, three more losses dropped the Cowboys to 7-10. The team did not advance to the playoffs after finishing behind both the Eagles and Commanders.
Injuries played a significant role in the season's outcome. Quarterback Dak Prescott only appeared in eight games. Pass catchers CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, and Jake Ferguson all missed games due to injuries. Standout defender Trevon Diggs only appeared in 11 games.
Parsons missed four games but still delivered another strong season on the defensive line. He posted 12 sacks, 23 quarterback hits, two forced fumbles, and 43 combined tackles.
Last season marked the fourth consecutive year that Parsons posted at least 12 sacks. He became the fifth player in NFL history to post double-digit sacks in each of their first four seasons. He joined Reggie White, Derrick Thomas, Claude Humphrey, and Dwight Freeney.
The Cowboys have talented playmakers on both sides of the ball, but their health will play a major role in determining the outcome of next season. The team will also have to make decisions about McCarthy, whose contract as head coach expired on Jan. 8.
