Michael Oher, the inspiration for the movie "The Blind Side", is facing an assault citation

This doesn't sound good.

According to WKRN in Nashville, Panthers offensive tackle Michael Oher was cited for assault for an April 14 incident with an Uber driver.

From the report:

According to a report, the Uber driver said he picked up Oher and four friends at a house to go to the Southern in downtown Nashville. Oher asked the driver to follow another car also leaving the home.

The report says that while on the way, the driver suggested he take the lead, saying the other car didn't seem to know where it was going.

An argument then broke out between Oher and driver, the document states, with Oher believing the driver was just trying to get more money.

...

The report indicates the driver got out of his car to open the passengers' door when Oher confronted him outside.

Oher is then accused of pushing him to the ground and kicking him in the leg. The other people inside the car then restrained the football player before he could do anything else.

The report indicates that Oher was charged with misdemeanor assault after the event, and he is schedule to appear in court on May 8.

Oher, who played his college ball at Ole Miss, was a first round draft choice by the Baltimore Ravens back in 2009. Oher won a Super Bowl as a starting lineman with the Ravens, and he has appeared in another as a starter for the Carolina Panthers. Oher missed most of the 2016 season with concussion issues.

Oher is probably most famously known as the inspiration for the movie "The Blind Side" featuring Sandra Bullock and Quinton Aaron. The movie depicts Oher's rise from a homeless teenager into a star lineman for Ole Miss.
