NaVorro Bowman was released by the San Francisco 49ers over the weekend, and he's already signed another contract. He had reportedly set up a visit with the Dallas Cowboys, but that won't be happening since he won't be leaving the Oakland Raiders without a contract.
Both the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland are desperate for depth on defense, and Bowman will provide that for the defense-needy Raiders.
He's a three-time Pro Bowler and a former Super Bowl starter, standing out for the 49ers in a 34-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens during the 2013 season.
Bowman started 74 games over seven seasons, all with the 49ers. He's registered more than 500 tackles, 12.5 sacks, four interceptions and nine forced fumbles.
