Ebner suffered a knee injury during a successful fake punt play, which resulted in a 14-yard gain and a first down during the first quarter of Sunday's 35-17 win over the Miami Dolphins.
He was examined by the Patriots' team physicians on the sideline and ruled out for the remainder of the game after the play.
