Newly Signed Seahawks DE DeMarcus Lawrence Goes Back-And-Forth In Heated Exchange With Former Cowboys Teammate Micah Parsons After Trolling The Organization

After spending 11 seasons in Dallas, former Cowboys edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence has come to terms on a three-year/$42 million deal ($18M guaranteed) with the Seattle Seahawks.

On Thursday, Lawrence, 32, was being interviewed about this blockbuster move, and he seemingly didn't hold back when speaking on his former team.

"Dallas is my home, I made my home there, my family lives there. I'm forever gonna be there. But, I know for sure I'm not gonna win a Super Bowl there."

Needless to say, these comments didn't sit too well with some of the Cowboys players, as fellow defensive end Micah Parsons shot back at Lawrence.

"This what rejection and envy look like! This some clown s***!"

That is, Lawrence then responded to Parsons' comment on X, and many believe he may have gotten the last laugh.

"Calling me a clown won't change the fact that I told the truth," Lawrence wrote. "Maybe if you spent less time tweeting and more time winning, I wouldn't have left."

Certainly, Lawrence was an integral part of the Cowboys' defense ever since being drafted as an early second-round pick out of Boise State in 2014.

And despite the "Super Bowl" comments, his teammates are assuredly going to miss his dominant pass rushing and run-stopping ability.

Being that, superstar wideout CeeDee Lamb was on a livestream, with Twitch streamer N3on, when he first found out the breaking news.

Lamb said he needed a minute to process it all...

And in view of Lawrence's comments, he may not be wrong, as the Cowboys are currently in a Super Bowl drought, that is now spanning nearly three decades (last appearance: Super Bowl XXX 01/27/1996).

To point out, Lawrence did have success throughout his 11-year tenure in Dallas, as back in 2019, he actually signed the richest deal in Cowboys history for a defensive player (five-year/$105 million guaranteed).

In 141 NFL career games, Lawrence has registered 61.5 sacks, 285 solo tackles, 21 forced fumbles, and two interceptions.

Coming off a foot sprain injury that kept him out for most of last year, for the upcoming 2025 season, Lawrence now joins forces with a stout Seahawks defense that includes former defensive line coach, Aden Durde, who also previously made the move from Dallas to Seattle.
