According to TMZ, quarterback Jalen Hurts was not among the guests during the private ceremony at Montage Laguna Beach in Southern California. Additionally, the outlet reports that no current members of the Philadelphia Eagles attended the ceremony. Only former teammate Darius Slay joined.
Granted, TMZ doesn't actually know the reason why Hurts skipped the ceremony or if Brown and Kelsey Riley even invited him. Hurts also reportedly skipped the engagement party for Brown and Riley back in May 2025.
Hurts and Brown have long been friends. They have known each other since they were teenagers, and Hurts reportedly played a prominent role in wooing Brown to the Eagles when he neared the conclusion of his Titans tenure.
The Eagles ultimately traded for Brown during the 2022 NFL Draft while sending the 18th overall pick and the 101st overall pick to the Titans. This move shocked the league and ultimately played a role in the Eagles winning Super Bowl 59.
Of course, rumors have persisted for several months about Brown's future in Philadelphia. The expectation is that the Eagles will trade him to a different team after he spent the 2025 season frustrated with the offense and his involvement. The Patriots are the expected landing spot for the three-time Pro Bowl player.
Hurts, for his part, spoke about the lingering trade reports after a playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He indicated that he would like to have Brown back in the offense in 2026 as the team tries to get back to the Super Bowl.
"(Brown) and I will talk," he said in January. "We're in a great place. Maybe you all can talk to him and ask."
