How exactly do NFL players view New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo? According to Jameis Winston, Skattebo is like a character from the Disney film "Lilo & Stitch."

The veteran quarterback provided more context during an appearance on the "New Heights" podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce. As he explained, Skattebo is like an alien dropped on earth to run the football.
"Bro, I was watching 'Lilo & Stitch' with the kids, right," Winston said. "And you know how Lilo is in this other land, but he steals the ship to escape that land because he 'bout to go to prison or whatever and he just finds his way on the Earth.
"That's the way Cam Skattebo is. He is from a football kingdom somewhere else. Somebody just dropped his crazy a— on Earth and said, 'Go run that pill.'"

Winston continued to discuss the young rookie running back, who failed to finish the season due to a fractured ankle. He said that he didn't agree with comparisons to Marshawn Lynch early in Skattebo's season, but he changed his opinion after seeing the rookie run over Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton.
"You know, Bolton built like a refrigerator truck, you know what I'm saying? He is stout. He is grounded. And when he ran over Nick Bolton, in that hole, I said, 'Okay, this white boy right here is something serious.'"
A fourth-round pick out of Arizona State, Skattebo took over as the starting running back for the Giants early in his rookie campaign. The NFL's version of Lilo never rushed for 100 yards in a game, but he built up his fanbase with hard runs and a big personality.
Skattebo's best game of the season came against the rival Eagles in an upset win. He posted a career-high 98 rushing yards on 19 carries (5.2 yards-per-attempt) and he scored three touchdowns as the Giants scored a 34-17 win in prime-time.
Two games later, the rookie saw his season come to a sudden end due to the ankle injury. This cut short his time on the field with fellow rookie Jaxson Dart, but it created big expectations for his return in 2026. The fans — and Winston — believe this "alien" will continue to produce under new head coach John Harbaugh, who accepted the job on Thursday morning.
