According to reporter Darryl Slater, the owner of High Exposure Aerial Advertising said that his company has bookings for two planes to tow protest banners over MetLife Stadium on Sunday morning. These planes will deliver messages to team co-owner/CEO John Mara as the 0-3 Giants prepare to host the 3-0 Chargers.

Slater reports that the messages for the two banners are not yet final. He also reports that a third plane could also fly over the New Jersey stadium on Sunday morning with a third message for Mr. Mara.

These protest banners are nothing new. Multiple flew over MetLife Stadium last season as the Giants struggled through a losing season and released former first-round draft pick Daniel Jones. One banner, which flew over the stadium before a Giants-Saints game, said, "Mr. Mara enough — plz fix this dumpster fire."

The Giants went on to lose to the Saints 14-11 to fall to 2-11 on the season.

One week later, another banner flew over MetLife Stadium as the Giants prepared to face off with the Ravens. This banner read, ""Mr. Mara enough — We won't stop until you fire everyone." The Giants lost 35-14.

Mara faced questions about these banners after the Giants ended the season with a 3-14 record. He addressed them during a press conference explaining why he chose to keep head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen for the 2025 season.

"Listen, I didn't need planes flying over me to tell me how upset the fans were," Mara said on Jan. 6. "I hear from them every day. So that really did not have much of an effect. I get how upset they are. I try to respond to them. Nobody was more upset than I am about how we've performed in recent years, and I have to stand up here and take the heat for that."

The Giants have won the Lombardi Trophy twice since taking over as team owner. The team has made the playoffs seven times in this stretch, most recently in 2022. However, the Giants also went 6-11 in 2023 and 3-14 last season. The team is 0-3 this season as it prepares to start rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart against the Chargers.
