There may not be a better rivalry in all of sports than the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, and that was on full display on Sunday afternoon.
While the rivalry enters a new era with Jordan Love taking over at quarterback for Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, there is still no love lost between these two historic franchises.
Midway through the first quarter, with the Packers leading 7-0, Bears quarterback Justin Fields broke the pocket on 1st and 20 from the Packers 41 yard-line. After gaining eight yards, Fields began to head towards the sideline, but was met by Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander.

While the play was clean by rule, the Bears' offensive line and sideline took exception to the hit by the all-pro cornerback. Seeing that Alexander was greatly outnumbered on the Bears sideline, multiple Packers defenders came to Alexander's defense.
This is where tempers really heated up as the two groups worked to separate themselves right in front of the Chicago benches. The officials eventually were able to break up the mob, but that would not be the end of the encounter.
On his way back to the Packers sideline, Alexander seemed to say something to Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore, who responded by pushing Alexander to the ground. Moore did this right in front of an official, who instantly threw his flag.
In the end, there were offsetting personal foul penalties on both teams. Ironically enough, Alexander was not the Packer called for the penalty. The foul was called on defensive lineman T.J. Slaton, who came to Alexander's defense on the sideline.
The Packers have won the last eight matchups between these two teams, but the Bears are hoping to change that narrative this season under an improved roster and with a more experienced Fields at the helm.
