Olympic superstar Simone Biles is married to Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens, and their relationship has become a point of great interest to football and gymnastics fans around the country.
It's a Friday in May at Lambeau Field. NFL free agent safety Jonathan Owens is putting pen to paper to become a Green Bay Packer. Sitting next to him as he signs the contract is his wife, who just so happens to be one of the most successful athletes of all time: Simone Biles. The four-time gold medal winner has already embraced her husband's new team by wearing a vintage looking Packers sweater.
The two athletes started dating shortly before Owens' third year in the NFL in August of 2020 when Owens was playing for the Texans in Biles' hometown of Houston. The two eventually got engaged in April of 2022 before holding an extravagant wedding in Cabo, Mexico on April 22nd, 2023.
Shortly after signing with Green Bay, the newlyweds had to go long-distance as Biles stayed in Texas to train for the 2024 Olympics.
"It's been different but at least we're both busy and focusing on our respective sports," Biles told the Today show in September. "It's been nice and we cherish the moments that we get together."
During the 2023 season though, the gymnast has made frequent trips to her husbands games and has seemed to fully embrace Green Bay and the Packers, saying on twitter on November 1st, "the hospitality in Green Bay is unmatched.
Biles' love for the Packers has also been reciprocated by the fanbase. When Biles was at the Packers Sunday night game against Kansas City, a fan gifted Biles custom headwear for her and Owens.

Owens started out the 2023 season mostly be utilized as a rotational piece for Green Bay behind starting safeties Darnell Savage and Rudy Ford. Due to a calf injury to Savage though, Owens was inserted into the starting lineup in the Packers week 6 matchup with Denver. Through the 2023 season, Owens is the Packers fifth-leading tackler with 53 total tackles. In the Packers Thanksgiving Day game in Detroit, Owens scored the first touchdown of his career when he returned a fumble to the end zone during the first quarter.
Following her husband's score, Biles emphatically celebrated on twitter.

While Biles clearly respects her husbands game, Owens has also been complimentary of her work ethic that has led her to becoming the most decorated gymnast of all time.
"Just watching her, how she worked everyday and going into the Olympics, how focused her drive is," Owens said during 2023 mini camp. "It makes you want to get up and do something because your partner is doing that."
Though Biles' schedule will undoubtedly become busier heading into the 2024 Olympics in Paris, she should be expected to be on the sideline for more of Owens and the Packers remaining games.
