League insider Mike Garafolo reported on Friday that Nacua had received a $25,000 fine for recent comments about officiating. This included comments on a livestream and a now-deleted post on X.

The first critique occurred when Nacua spoke to social media personalities Adin Ross and Mikyle Rafiq, who also goes by the name of N3on.

"Yeah, the refs are the worst," Nacua said during the livestream. "Some of them, like — these guys are lawyers. They want to be on TV, too. You don't think he's texting his friends in the group chat like, 'Yo, you guys just saw me on 'Sunday Night Football?'

"Like, 'That wasn't P.I. (pass interference), like, but I called it.' I mean, these guys are normal human beings, too, bro."

Nacua follow-up comments about the officials occurred after an overtime loss to the rival Seahawks, a game in which he posted a career-high 225 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Officiating became a point of contention for the Rams after the referees initially ruled a backwards pass as incomplete. Upon review, however, the referees determined that running back Zach Charbonnet had scored a two-point conversion by picking up the ball in the end zone.

"Can you say i was wrong," Nacua posted on X immediately after the loss. "Appreciate you stripes for your contribution. Lol."

The receiver deleted this critique but not before numerous followers took screenshots to forever immortalize the post. Nacua then told reporters that he made this comment in a moment of frustration. He also said that he did not truly believe what he had told the internet personalities.

"No, I don't," Nacua said after being asked about his livestream comments. "It was just a lack of awareness and just some frustration.

"I know there are moments where I feel like, man, you watch other games and you think of the calls that some guys get, and you wish you could get some of those. But that's just how football is played. I'll do my job in order to work my technique to make sure there's not an issue with a call."

Regardless of beliefs, the NFL does not take kindly to people criticizing the referees. The league ultimately handed out the expected fine ahead of the football weekend.
