According to a Feb. 2 announcement, the Rams have signed general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay to new deals. This ensures that the duo will remain in place as the Rams continue to pursue wins, playoff appearances, and championships.

Snead took over as GM of the Rams in 2012, back when the team still called St. Louis home. He oversaw the Jeff Fisher years, which included a move to Los Angeles in 2016. He then began working with McVay in 2017, which marked a drastic turnaround for the NFC West team.

The Rams missed the playoffs every season from 2012-2016 while going 31-48-1. Once McVay took over as head coach, the Rams went 11-5 and reached the playoffs. Though they lost in the wild-card round to the Falcons.

One year later, the Rams reached the Super Bowl for the first time since 2001 season. They lost to the Patriots after struggles on offense, but the NFC West team showed it could be a championship contender once again.

McVay and Snead rolled with Jared Goff as the starting quarterback for four seasons — making the playoffs three times — before trading him to the Lions for Matthew Stafford.

Since this blockbuster move, the Rams have reached the playoffs four times, the conference championship twice, and the Super Bowl once. They defeated the Bengals to close out the 2021 season. The McVay-Snead duo has also led the team to four division titles.

"As we enter their 10th season together, it is only fitting to reflect on the tremendous success Sean and Les have brought to this franchise, and the indelible impact they have made on Los Angeles and the NFL," said Los Angeles Rams Owner and Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke.

"They continue to embody the standard of this franchise to compete for championships, consistently delivering a product that our fans and city can be proud of. Their collaboration embodies the We Then Me ethos we seek in our players, coaches and staff, and we are thrilled they will be leading the Los Angeles Rams for years to come."
