It projects to be a lost season for the New York Giants, as the team sits in the hole of a 1-6 record without the presence of Odell Beckham Jr. (and many others) for the remainder of the campaign. With that in mind, there has been buzz concerning whether the Giants would think about "selling high" on long-time quarterback Eli Manning in favor of a rebuilding effort that would presumably include the selection of a quarterback near the top of the 2018 NFL Draft.

One such scenario comes from Marc Sessler of NFL.com, who posited that the Jacksonville Jaguars would make quite a bit of sense when it comes to a team acquiring Manning's services.
"With Tom Coughlin manning the controls in Jacksonville, bringing Manning down south would serve as a fascinating latter-day chapter to the signal caller's career. Suddenly, Manning would be surrounded by a dominant defense and punishing ground game — the same formula that triggered a pair of Super Bowl wins in New York.
Blake Bortles shined in Sunday's win over the Colts, but that's one week of work. This position must be upgraded in the offseason, but the Coughlin-Manning connection paves the way for a more immediate — albeit short-term — solution for a team with a Super Bowl-level defense."
It should be noted that things did not end particularly well for Coughlin in New York and that would add to the dynamics when actually negotiating a swap. Still, the Jaguars absolutely need an upgrade on Blake Bortles to become a real title threat and, even with Manning take a step back from the form that helped him lead the Giants to two Super Bowl titles, he presents that.
New York deciding to trade Eli Manning would be noteworthy and somewhat jarring but, if it comes to fruition, the Jags do make a ton of sense as a destination.
