The internet was surprised to find out that NFL analyst Adam Schefter appeared to be caught using an illegal streaming site while watching last week's Thursday Night Football game on X.

The "Methstreams.com" watermark appeared in the top left corner of the video clip that he posted, and after fans noted this, Schefter was getting some jokes thrown his way.
Notably, Schefter worked at ESPN since 2009, so this was pretty shocking. That is, many couldn't believe that with his salary and connections, that he had to essentially rip off the NFL and use illegal free sites to watch the football game.
All in all, Schefter adamantly denied it, saying things were not as they seemed. He claims he just reposted a clip from another user on social media, and it just so happened to be from that site.
During the most recent episode of the "Pat McAfee Show," Pat and his co-hosts were talking about the situation and decided to give Schefter a call to rag on him a bit.
While talking to McAfee, the NFL insider says it was a misunderstanding, as he has no problem paying the Amazon monthly subscription. He even made sure to point out, that his wife always uses Amazon, maybe hoping this would clear up any discrepancies with his bosses, considering their partnership with the streaming platform.
Ultimately, Schefter said even if he wanted to, he doesn't know how to use the internet to stream free games.
Although, this all seems believable, the NFL probably is not happy with the biggest reporter having any connection with free-to-stream websites.
