NFL Network reporter suspended for 'bounty' comments on Ezekiel Elliott

Good on the NFL.

NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger was on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia before the big game against NFC East rival Dallas and he said that the Eagles should flat out injure Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott. That did not fly over well with the Cowboys and now it seems, with the league.

He suggested that the Eagles should put a bounty on Elliott for whoever could knock him out of the game. That kind of talk is crude and reprehensible to say the least and it would seem the NFL Network agrees. They have suspended Baldinger for six months without pay.

Elliott ended up with almost 100 yards rushing and untouched against the Eagles, but the same cannot be said for Baldinger who will be feeling the hurt for the next half a year.
