Former Tennessee Titans coach Mike Vrabel won't be a head coach this season but that doesn't mean he's out of work entirely.

As multiple outlets have reported, Vrabel is joining the Cleveland Browns as a coaching and personnel consultant.
Vrabel, 48, was let go by the Titans after the season. He coached Tennessee for six years and led them to a 54-45 mark — though went just 7-10 in 2022 and 6-11 this past fall. In 2021, he was voted NFL Coach of the Year and he coached the Titans to the AFC Championship game in 2019.
His addition is fitting for the Browns, given that he is a native of nearby Akron and starred at Ohio State as a linebacker. He played in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs from 1997-2010.

"NFL Media noted Vrabel was with the Browns at the scouting combine in Indianapolis and will now formally join the staff," wrote Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk. "A three-time Super Bowl champion as a player, Vrabel was also named the AP coach of the year in 2021 after leading the Titans to a 12-5 record."
Vrabel spent three years as an assistant coach with the Buckeyes before joining the Houston Texans as linebackers coach in 2014.
His exact duties with the Browns are unclear, though he is expected to work closely with head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Vrabel interviewed for head-coaching vacancies with the Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers after the season, but ended up losing out on all.
