According to sheriff's records, via The Daily Mail, Cleveland was arrested July 16 in Oconee County, Georgia, on misdemeanor charges related to speeding and allegedly violating the conditions of a limited driving permit. He was booked into jail before being released later that morning.
The latest arrest comes after a difficult stretch for the former Baltimore Ravens draft pick.
Cleveland was suspended by the NFL late last season for violating the league's substance abuse policy before being released by Baltimore on Jan. 1. The Chargers signed the 27-year-old offensive guard later that month, giving him another opportunity to continue his career.
He also was arrested in Georgia in February 2025 on DUI-related charges after authorities alleged he was driving under the influence and failed to maintain his lane.
A third-round pick by the Ravens in the 2021 NFL Draft, Cleveland spent five seasons in Baltimore before his release. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game for the Chargers and now faces renewed questions about his future as training camp gets underway.
The Chargers have not publicly commented on Cleveland's latest arrest.
