NFL player on one of the worst teams in the league makes absolutely delusional prediction

Really?

Isaiah Crowell was one of the few bright spots on the Cleveland Browns last season, and he is expected to be a primary contributor at running back in 2017.

Crowell recently held his third annual free youth football clinic at his hometown in Columbus, Georgia, and he discussed his expectations for the 2017 version of the Browns. According to Jordan D. Hill of the Ledger-Enquirer, Crowell said he feels "very good" about the Browns next year.

"I feel like we're building something special," Crowell said. "A lot of people are underestimating us, but I feel like we're going to shock the world."

The Browns will have one of the youngest teams in the NFL next season, but they should improve on last season's atrocious 1-15 campaign.

Crowell rushed nearly for 1,000 yards last year in his third NFL season, and he rushed for seven touchdowns.

The Browns are still searching for a starting quarterback, and they are hoping second-round pick DeShone Kizer can be the franchise QB of the future.

Cleveland will need even more from Crowell if they want to make a big leap next season. It's unlikely, but they could be much more competitive if all their young talent adapts to the NFL quickly.

Despite the influx of talent, the Browns are still in one of the toughest divisions in football in the AFC North. The Pittsburgh Steelers are a Super Bowl contender, and the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals have been regulars in the playoffs over the last decade.

The Browns probably won't shock the world in 2017, but they should improve their win total substantially.
