NFL refs unveiled another rule that makes absolutely no sense Sunday night

Ball don't lie.

Late in the Denver Broncos' tilt with Pittsburgh, Markus Wheaton and the Steelers got lucky with a little help from the rulebook.

Wheaton muffed the punt, which careened toward the end zone and appeared to be recovered on the goal line by Steelers defensive back Ross Cockrell.

Despite the ball being on the one-yard line or close to the goal line, referees called the fumble recovery in the end zone, which you'd think would be ruled as a safety. Instead, the refs called it a touchback and NFL rules officially don't make any sense.

Denver would get the ball back on a Fitzgerald Toussaint fumble because ball don't lie.
