The NFL is adding a trip to Berlin, Germany, to the 2025 schedule. This first-ever regular-season game in Berlin will feature an NFC South team as the designated home team.

According to a reveal on Jan. 15, the Indianapolis Colts will head to the Olympic Stadium next season to host a game as part of the expanded International schedule. The league did not reveal the Colts' opponent or the date. Instead, the video just used "Fall 2025" as a placeholder.

The Colts are no strangers to the NFL's International Series. They have previously competed in London. For example, they lost to the rival Jaguars 30-27 during the 2016 season. The Colts also beat the Patriots 10-6 last season during a trip to Frankfurt, Germany.

Making the Colts the designated home team follows another significant move. The AFC South team was granted marketing rights in Germany in April 2024 as part of the NFL's Global Markets Program. This allowed the Colts to build up its fanbase with fan engagements, events, and other opportunities.

"The NFL is making history in Berlin, and the Colts are proud to be part of this landmark event in one of the world's most historic cities," said Colts owner and CEO Jim Irsay in a statement.

"The NFL has become a global brand, and we're looking forward to growing American football in Germany and expanding Colts Nation's footprint around the world. This game also provides a unique opportunity for our local Indiana partners to engage with German businesses, customers, and fans this season and in the future."

Wednesday's Berlin announcement is the latest piece of the scheduling puzzle revealed by the NFL.

The league also revealed that the Jaguars, the Jets, and the Browns will all be designated home teams during games in London. The Jaguars will host a game at Wembley Stadium while the Jets and Browns will host games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
