The Green Bay Packers and New York Giants gave us one of the uglier games of the week with their 23-16 slug fest that saw the Green and Yellow win. A big part of the win was Randall Cobb who had nine catches for 108 yards and his last catch might have been the most important.
On 3rd and 10 with a little over two minutes left in the game, he caught a pass that converted the first down and essentially ended the game since the Giants had no more timeouts. However, he took a big lick from Landon Collins right in the neck area. Here's the hit:
Cobb got knocked pretty hard there and you can clearly see him in pain, but his description of what happened after the hit is the scariest part:
"Got folded up like a lawn chair," Cobb described it.
Teammates were concerned. The Packers' medical staff wasn't far behind.
"I laid there for a second," Cobb said. "Then I turned over and, like, I had 15 faces in front of me. So I thought I had died or something. They kind of scared me more than anything. Yeah, I took a shot, and it hurt, but whenever I saw everybody standing around me, I thought I had died. And then I felt, I saw I could move my fingers and my feet. So I knew it was all right."
Cobb had already cleared the concussion protocol before he spoke to reporters, but he was supposed to undergo more tests on Monday to make sure there wasn't any more damage.
