Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley seems to have grown weary of his sophomore slump.
Gurley racked up 1,106 yards rushing last season en route to Rookie of the Year honors, but has yet to rush for more than 85 yards in a single game this season, while his per game average has sputtered to just under 57 yards.
After failing to reach 100 yards rushing for the 20th time in his last 21 games (dating back to the last half of the 2015 season) in a 42-14 dismantling at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, the second-year player blasted his teammates' lack of effort, and ridiculed his offense for running what he said "looked like a middle school offense."
"Man, we gotta play," Gurley said after the game. "I don't care if we're out of the playoffs or not. I don't care. Just come up, show up, play. That's why we play this game. Show up, play. We're just going through the motions. It looks like everybody's just playing to get through."

All things considered, team morale could certainly be low. The Rams rank last in the NFL in points per game, total yards and first downs. More importantly, the loss to Atlanta marked their fourth consecutive and eighth in nine games.
Gurley totaled just 61 yards on 16 attempts and he had some harsh words about his offense after the game.
"We looked like a middle school offense out there," he said. "I mean, I'm going to be quiet. My mom said if you don't have anything good to say, don't even say it. I'm just going to leave it as that."
Talk about not holding back your feelings.
