On the day Peyton Manning retires, Broncos could lose backup option to this team

Is Brock Osweiler on his way out?

The Peyton Manning-Brock Osweiler battle for the starting quarterback gig is over for good. As the former rides off into retirement, the latter could be on his way out of town as well.

After the Denver Broncos reportedly offered Osweiler a three-year, upward of $45 million deal, the quarterback is reportedly meeting with the Houston Texans on Monday as part of the league's legal tampering period ahead of when he becomes an official free agent on Wednesday, per KUSA.

Osweiler went 5-2 as starter this season, throwing for nearly 2,000 yards for 10 touchdowns and six interceptions.

He should draw plenty of interest from quarterback-needy teams, such as the Cleveland Browns.
