The statement says that Ramsey will seek a second opinion on the injury, but he could very well be on his way to the operating table. According to ESPN, there are two surgical procedures that may be required, with the more serious of the two keeping Ramsey sidelined for four-to-six months.
Ramsey was the fifth overall pick in the NFL Draft on April 28. He is expected to be one of the top rookies of this class, and this injury could severely hamper what is expected to be a fruitful rookie season.
Ramsey had 181 total tackles and 15 tackles for loss in three season with Florida State, earning All-American honors twice.
