If Aaron Rodgers isn't the best quarterback in the NFL, he's on the (very) short list alongside Tom Brady and, at least in 2016, Matt Ryan. However, the Green Bay Packers are not paying Rodgers as a member of the uber-elite at the position and, apparently, Rodgers has finally noticed.

When prompted about the possibility that Tampa Bay Buccaneers backup QB Mike Glennon could command a contract in the $15 million range, Rodgers indicated the following to Jason Wilde of ESPN Wisconsin.

This isn't exactly a direct charge toward the Packers for a new contract but it also isn't very subtle. Make no mistake, Rodgers isn't on a bargain-basement deal in that he'll make more than $13 million in 2017 before skyrocketing beyond $20 million for both 2018 and 2019. However, he isn't on the level of Andrew Luck or even Joe Flacco when it comes to salary and the Packers probably won't be getting a discount very much longer.
To make the situation even stranger, he appeared to backtrack on his original statement, implying he wanted a new deal:

It certainly seemed like Rodgers was detailing he'd like a new deal right? So we're not sure what gives here.
