The Cowboys might have an opening at quarterback, and at least one veteran free agency may be interested in filling it.
Not long after it was announced that Tony Romo would miss six to ten weeks with a back injury, Michael Vick sent out this tweet.
The timing of that tweet may be coincident, but Vick is no stranger to pining for a job with the Cowboys. Vick has publicly said that he would love to play for the Cowboys, and with Romo now out for a significant amount of time, Dallas now has to think about potential backups to Week 1's likely starter — Dak Prescott.

The Cowboys could pass on Vick in favor of another free agent, or they could just pass on adding a quarterback entirely. They may try to wait out Romo's return, and just rely on Jameill Showers as the backup to Prescott. It would be risky, but it's possible.
Of course, with Jerry Jones in charge, it won't take us long to figure out just what the Cowboys want to do.
