During the fourth quarter of the Carolina Panthers vs. Philadelphia Eagles game, second-year quarterback Bryce Young showed compassion for opposing player CJ Gardner-Johnson.

That is to say, the Eagles defensive back got hurt with 10 minutes left in the game, after already previously heading into the medical tent during the first half, when he got checked out for a possible concussion.
After showing Gardner-Johnson rolling on the ground in agony, the cameras panned over to Young who appeared to bow his head in prayer.

To point out, Gardner-Johnson had been involved in a play at the beginning of the game where he laid a big hit on Panthers rookie wide receiver Xavier Legette.

With this in mind, Bryce Young may have taken the "love/pray for your enemies (opponents)" Biblical Scripture to heart.

Ultimately, Young displayed great sportsmanship for his opponent, as Gardner-Johnson was face down on the ground for a few minutes, before finally getting up and walking off the field slowly.
To note, the Eagles were already suffering from injuries as fellow star safety Reed Blankenship was 'OUT' with a concussion.
Nevertheless, the Eagles (11-2) hung on to win the game 22-16, even though it wasn't smooth sailing in Philly, as they put up a season-low 108 passing yards vs. the Panthers.

While Bryce Young (191 pass yards, 1 TD/1 INT) seems to have found his groove after starting off the season getting benched, he and the Panthers (3-10) once again came up short as they also suffered injuries to their running backs, Raheem Blackshear (chest) and Jonathon Brooks (knee).
