When the Carolina Panthers drafted Xavier Legette with the No. 32 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, it's uncertain if they knew he had such an abnormal diet.

That is, the 23-year-old from Mullins, South Carolina first shocked fans when he admitted that he often eats raccoon, saying that this was a main part of his Thanksgiving meal.

When he was asked where he gets [raccoon] at, Legette responded, "I hunt it, I kill it, I skin em, cook em, eat em."
With this in mind, it appears that Legette had the same meal on Christmas, as he brought leftovers for teammates and reporters to try in the locker room.

One reporter asked Legette, "People want to know how are you a picky eater, when you eat coon?"
He responded, "I don't eat the bell peppers and all that... that stuff is too exotic for me."

Panters wide receiver David Moore said he had a taste.

"It wasn't on my list of first things to eat this morning. I tried [the racoon meat] because he was so pressed about it," Moore said. "He said, 'The 'coon is great, the 'coon is good, the 'coon is this. I don't know, I had to try it."
Most couldn't bear the thought of eating a raccoon, however, surprisingly not everyone was grossed out.
Panthers reporter Darin Gannt said, "Here at Panthers.com, where the writers are from Suburban Hickory and Suburban Mobile, Ala., this wasn't nearly as much of a novelty."
Many reporters seemed shocked by Xavier Legette's container of raccoon meat he pulled out of his locker.

To highlight Legette's exquisite taste buds, he also was seen on camera trying German food during the team's Week 10 20-17 win vs. the Giants in Munich.
