Patrick Mahomes' Dad Isn't a Huge Fan of Jason Kelce or Taylor Swift

Patrick Mahomes Sr. got straight to the point about seating arrangements for Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. is hoping he doesn't have to sit next to two of the biggest stars in the NFL right now.

During last Sunday's enthralling Kansas City Chiefs victory over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Playoffs Divisional Round, there was some equally enjoyable next-level entertainment taking place away from the field. As everyone knows by now, the visual feast that CBS cameras simply could not get enough of were the nonstop antics in the suite occupied by the Kelce crew, Brittany Mahomes and, of course, Taylor Swift.

Another significant person in that VIP suite with a front row seat for a shirtless Jason Kelce going absolutely bonkers throughout the game was Patrick Mahomes' dad, Patrick Mahomes Sr. It took approximately one brief shot of poppa Mahomes for fans to get a firm gauge on his level of enjoyment while seemingly everyone else in the suite was acting like prohibition would be going into effect the following morning.

And, well, it definitely sounds like Mahomes Sr. would prefer not to have a repeat experience on Sunday afternoon at M&T Bank Stadium for what should be an outstanding AFC Championship Game between the Chiefs and Ravens.

Here's what he had to say during an appearance on WFAN's "Evan and Tiki" show:

Mahomes Sr. candidly and succinctly saying, "I hope not," when asking if he would be sitting in the same suite as Taylor Swift and Co., Jason Kelce, and Brittany Mahomes is such an awesome response. Presumably, he was having a little fun with the topic rather than playing it straight. Still, a really great reply to the type of question that probably had Mahomes Sr. internally rolling his eyes.

But when you factor in a few clips from the Chiefs-Bills game, it makes the reply so much better. Check out the demeanor of Mahomes Sr. in the following clip:

The stoic gentleman was just calmly standing there and about to take a sip of his beverage, but the circus act taking place directly behind Mahomes Sr. seized hold of the situation and forced him to call an audible and give a "what in the world have I gotten myself into" look as he turned his head.

It's such a signature, relatable dad-type of move, it's pretty difficult not to love.

Amazingly, much like the game itself, it got better from there. After Jason Kelce hopped out of the suite to gleefully slam beers with delighted Bills fans, Kelce's wife — Kylie Kelce — put Mahomes Sr. in charge of relaying the message to her animal of a husband to get back into the suite.

The message itself was pure hilarity. And again, very straight to the point which seems to be the preferred method of communication for Mahomes Sr.:

"Kylie said get your ass back in here." And that's exactly what Kelce did. Immediately.

Judging by the overall body language, the sense is "Dad" was more than happy to be "Dad" and deliver the message in order to maintain some level of decorum so he could, you know, enjoy watching his son play in an intensely important football game.

The Chiefs and Ravens kickoff on Sunday at 3 p.m. EST. At this time, the seating arrangements for the ever-growing VIP Chiefs suite have yet to be disclosed. No need to fear, though, as CBS or NFL Network will probably be giving several updates on everyone's whereabouts before the ball is even kicked.
