Mahomes and the Chiefs came away with an uneventful 19-8 victory over the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football, but the offense came up short more often than not, finding the end zone just once on a touchdown pass to Kadarius Toney. Multiple drives stalled out in the red zone, leading to a busy day for Kansas City's kicker, Harrison Butker.

Despite the win, Mahomes and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid don't seem satisfied with where the team is right now, particularly on offense. The superstar quarterback shared his thoughts on where the offense is at following the win over an AFC West rival.

"Luckily for us, our defense is playing great so we can go through these growing pains and try to get better and better," Mahomes told reporters after the game. "The talent is there. You can see it in spurts...we have a lot of room to improve, and so that's just something that we've got to continue to work on. It's just putting a full game together. Let's put a full game together and see what we can do."

Despite completing 75 percent of his passes against the Broncos, Mahomes had one of his quieter passing performances, throwing for 306 yards with one touchdown and an interception. His passer rating of 95.7 through six games would be the lowest of his career as a full-time starter, with too many questions on the offense about reliable pass catchers outside of star tight end Travis Kelce.

Still, given how the Chiefs were able to find success after parting ways with star wideout Tyreek Hill prior to their Super Bowl run last season, Mahomes and company have plenty of time to figure things out on offense before fans need to start panicking.
