Evidently, Peppers allegedly assaulted a victim, which was his girlfriend, and this took place around 4 am, after she got a phone call from someone, that apparently made him upset.
In view of the incident, Peppers' girlfriend statement read that he demanded she leave his apartment, while he then "appeared out of his mind and had a serious expression."
According to the claims, Peppers, "put his hands on her neck and pushed her head against the wall."
That wasn't all, as allegedly Peppers then pushed her down a set of stairs, before then throwing down her purse and phone. Then after she put on pants belonging to him, he "came down and ripped off his pants from her and demanded her to leave the apartment."
Upon arriving on the scene, EMS treated her, and Peppers was then arrested shortly after an investigation took place, as she had noticeable scratches on her kneecaps, along with her forehead being red.
In addition to assault and battery charges, Braintree Police says Peppers will be facing further charges of strangulation and possession of cocaine, as they found a white powdery substance in his wallet after he was taken to jail.
All in all, Peppers claims his innocence, as the police highlighted his statement.
"According to Jabrill... [the woman] kept acting erratic and refused to leave. According to Jabrill, [the woman] fell by herself on the stairs because she was intoxicated. He denied pushing her down the stairs, and he said that she was making those allegations to destroy his career."

Peppers appeared in court on Monday, and once again reiterated that he did nothing wrong. That is to say, the NFL player's attorney told the reporters, "we have evidence that completely contradicts the alleged victim's story and I expect my client to be fully exonerated."
In view of this happening one day before the Patriots were set to take on the Dolphins, Peppers did not play, as he was already listed as 'questionable' on the injury report with a shoulder injury.
With this in mind, the Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo was fully aware of what happened, as he said he received a call from Peppers on Saturday, who gave his side of the story.
Peppers has played eight seasons in the NFL after being selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 2017 NFL Draft. Notably, he signed a three-year extension with the Patriots worth $30 million this past offseason.
The safety's status for upcoming games is unknown at this time, as the disciplinary consequences handed down will more than likely be correlated to the judge's ruling on the four criminal charges he is facing.
