But the New England Patriots offensive coordinator appears to be a serious candidate this time around as several teams have reportedly expressed interest. Among them, according to the Boston Globe, are the Jaguars, 49ers and Rams, who've all contacted McDaniels about the position.
Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle is also reporting that members of the 49ers organization are planning to meet with McDaniels in New England this coming weekend.

It's hard to say who might be the best fit for McDaniels out of those clubs, but San Francisco appears to be the most desperate. And considering the Jags may already have their man lined up in Tom Coughlin, it looks like McDaniels, who compiled a less than lukewarm 11-17 record in two seasons with Denver, could be bound for the West Coast.
